Peringatan Adeging Nagari Surakarta is the commemoration ceremony of the founding of Nagari Surakarta or known today as Solo. Nagari Surakarta, was established in the year 1745. The history of Keraton Kartasura’s migration to a small village, Sala, is read in Macapat song in this ceremony. Kenduri or religious memorial banguet is offered following the ceremony.
