The Novotel Yogyakarta is a 4 star hotel, and is one of the 3 hotels owned by Accor Group ( the other 2 would be Phoenix Hotel and Ibis Hotel). Novotel Yogyakarta is situated in a relatively strategic location, about 15 minutes from the airport and about 10 to 15 minutes to Jalan Malioboro (the main shopping street in Yogyakarta). There is a hospital right across the street from the hotel, and beside it is Galleria Mall, not the biggest mall in the city but it’s pretty nice overall. Not far from the hotel is Gramedia Book Store and also the oldest and best university in the city, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
The hotel has a total of 200 rooms and has ample facilities for vacationers, with transport-booking facilities to the temples as well as a small swimming pool and bar. The interiors are simple rather than lavish, but still classy. Novotel is recommended for business guests seeking a mid-range place to stay in Yogyakarta
