Malioboro is a shopping site at the center of Yogyakarta. In this place, one could find many stores, stands, and outdoor shops selling local and traditional souvenirs made by Yogyakarta residents. At the end of the street, there is the largest indoor market, Beringharjo, selling many kinds of Batik. Beside the market, stands the Vredenburg Fortress built by a Dutchman in 1765. At the day, Malioboro is the center of business for Jogja,and at night this place is an amazing area to find traditional food with very exotic Jogja nuance.
