Ibis Malioboro Hotel is located in the business and centre district of Yogyakarta. It is 10 kilometres from the Airport and just 300 metres from the railway station. Major tourist attractions including the Sultans Palace, which is only 1.5 km away, Water Castle and Sonobudoyo Museum are only a short walk from the hotel. If you don’t feel like walking, street. taxis, trishaws (becak), horse carriages (andong) are readily available outside the hotel. The most interesting and convenient factor about the hotel is definitely the location (just meters away form the shopping area of Malioboro) and the linked door right to the adjacent Malioboro Mall (complete with a supermarket and other stores).

The hotel consists 148 rooms in 8 floors and has ampled hotel facilities to offer, such as two restaurants, two bars, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.. The room is comfortable and fairly spacious. The buffet breakfast was very satisfying and available as early as 4 am. The services are also great, wake up calls, spa/sauna, in house restaurant for convenience and many local food stalls and warungs just outside the street. The hotel provides 30 mins free wifi per day for guests. However this is only accessible from the lobby. This hotel is suitable for guests who wish to find decent mid-classed hotel near the shopping area.
