Deles Indah Natural Park

Deles Indah is a natural tourism site located on the eastern side of Mount Merapi, approximately 25 KM from the city of Klaten, Central Java. It is situated on a village named Sidorejom, Kemalang sub-region with an altitude of 800-1300 meters above sea level. The high altitude of the site makes it a potensial tourism site for beautiful panoramic nature scenary and nuance. From Deles, you can see a clear view of the peak of Mount Merapi, an overall view of Klaten city, and the natural unspoiled countryside. You can reach the peak of Mount Merapi from Deles Indah for a 10-12 hour walk. If you are not certain of the path, you can hire a trekking guide to help you find your way. Be sure to bring enough food and drink for there’s only a few, or no merchants on your way to the top.
Deles Indah Nature Site was once renovated in 1985. The reason is for enlargement purpose and for adding more features. It is a very good site for foreign tourists to view the beautiful natural scene that the country possesses while relaxing with friends or family. You should bring a camera when you decide to visit this site since the natural wonders are not commonly found in the country.
